Security issues in DRC have been a matter of concern in recent years and in recent weeks, things have been getting worse. Although President William Ruto has been doing his best to help, things have not been good as Kenya has even been blamed for interfering in the security mission in DRC.
Just recently, President William Ruto convened a meeting with other East Africa Presidents but to their surprise, DRC Head of State Felix Tshisekedi decided to snub the meeting.
As we are currently speaking, the DRC Commander In Chief has finally broken his silence after snubbing Ruto’s meeting. On his side, Felix did not speak on why he ignored the meeting convened by Ruto but instead, he insisted that his troops are mounting vigorous response to M23 advance.
It is said that after snubbing Ruto, Felix confirmed to attend a similar meeting that was convened by the leadership of Southern Africa.
