Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has finally responded to Gachagua’s warning in the 2027 general election. During the interview with Oga Obina, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua warned about stealing the election in 2027. According to him, he warned that Kenya might witness unprinted things if the elections were to be stolen. Well, professor Kindiki has responded to the allegations with a clear message to Kenyans.
According to Kindiki, Kenya will not go back to the post election violence period that happened in the 2007 general election. He has maintained that people will win elections on the basis of good policies and vision they have for the country. He has also Warned Kenyans to be careful with some people who are only interested in spreading hate and war mongering statements.
“Kenya will never return to political violence.
Not in 2027, not at any other time in future. Our country learnt hard and painful lessons from the 2007/2008 post election violence. Never again. Henceforth, Kenya’s leadership contests will revolve around who has better ideas to transform the country. The debate cannot be about the fear mongering of desperate, vengeful, thoughtless and pretentious leaders.” Kindiki.
