Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and the current holder of the same office professor Kithure Kindiki seem to be having political scores to settle despite not being in the same political party anymore. The decision of Gachagua to leave the United Democratic party and Join DCP is not sitting well with those in the Kenya Kwanza administration.
This is evident from the political statements being released by leaders allied to President William Ruto. Well, Kindiki’s late night message targeting Gachagua has left many Kenyans asking questions.
While targeting Gachagua, Kindiki through X account claimed that UDA is a party with well organized policies and development objectives well outlined unlike other parties which are just being formed on hate and other things.
“The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) believes in the ideology of economic transformation of the country through programs that promote economic empowerment from the bottom upwards.” Posted Kindiki.
“Our interventions in agriculture, livestock and the blue economy value chains, establishment of economic stimulus fresh produce markets, provision of affordable and social housing as well as suppression of price hikes on essential household commodities, are informed by our belief in bottom up economics, the complete opposite of trickle down economics, the latter model being responsible for slowing down the pace of Kenya’s prosperity over the years.”
“The other 91 political parties have the duty to put forward their policy propositions to facilitate a healthy national discourse on Kenya’s future. Political formations established on the foundations of hate, parochialism or ethnic chauvinism only serve to distract Kenya’s push towards prosperity and viability.” Added Kindiki.
