The once vibrant United Democratic Party leaders are deemed as outsiders. Honerable Cleophas Wakhungu Malalah Played an important role in shaping united democratic Party popularity in western region.
He shifted together with Musalia Mudavadi from Amani National Party to the United Democratic Party and ended up vying on the same ticket in the Kakamega County gubernatorial election.
Right now, him and Gachagua who were serving as Deputy President and Deputy party leader were thrown out of UDA positions. Speaking in an interview at TV47. Malalah set the record straight on Gachagua joining another party after being dropped as the second in command.
Malalah stated that, by removing Gachagua from office, it is a clear indication he is not needed in UDA. As a Kenyan guided by the constitution, he has a right to join any other political party and fulfill his political vision.
” Gachagua has a right to join any political Party. He is clearly not needed in UDA and his impeachment was a confirmation. When the right time comes, we shall shed more light on the issue. For now, we are focused on fighting court battles. ” Said Malalah.
With Malalah remarks, it seems like the former second in command is already planning life after UDA and probably getting ready for the 2027 general election. He now has time to run around the country selling his vision to the people of Kenya. We wish him well.
