Former Kakamega County Senator Honorable Cleophas Wakhungu Malala is a man on a mission. Despite being unceremoniously removed from the United Democratic Party Secretary general position. He is making a boss move in Kakamega County leaving those in Power shocked.
Many expected that he will be forgotten after that. However, it seems like the move by UDA top brass was a blessing in disguise. His focus is now on Kakamega County top seat, a seat he narrowly missed in the 2022 general election after the ODM team camped in Kakamega in support of Barasa.

Malalah asked Khalawale to stop early campaigns for the Kakamega County gubernatorial seat and focus on service delivery. He claimed that for the last three months, the county has been struggling with money issues, something he is supposed to push for at the Senate.
” Khalawale here, he should stop focusing on politics and instead work for kakamega people. Governor Barasa here has been struggling with money shortage in Kakamega for the last three months. The person who is supposed to help him solve that at the Senate is busy campaigning. That should stop.” Said Malalah in a video shared.
He also asked Woman Representative Else Muhanda to focus on helping girls who are being attacked instead of focusing on becoming governor.
Malalah concluded by asking Western region leaders to seek friendship from other regions if they want to be seen on the negotiation table. He maintained that, it is only through having friends that the voices of the region will be heard.
