Chief Justice Martha Koome was the center of discussion at Milimani law courts today. Questions were raised by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua legal team in why the bench was appointed by Philomena Mwilu while Martha Koome was available.
The heated argument led to judge Ogolla to adjourn the Court for one hour to pave way for notice to be filled by Gachagua lawyers. Well, Martha Koome has finally opened up on the case.
According to a report by the Kenyans digital. Chief Justice Martha Koome was asked to comment on the case by a civilian while at Makadara law courts today.
In her response, she claimed that the case has not yet reached her desk and it is still at the high court. She continued by saying, she will be able to look at it once it gets there.
It seems like the case will be More interesting going forward, judging by the heated debate that was witnessed at Milimani law courts. It is not clear why Chief Justice Martha Koome was not able to constitute a bench leaving the mandate to Philomena Mwilu.
Mwilu’s decision to appoint a bench has invited bitter submission from the Gachagua side. The decision on whather the beach will rescue itself firm the case will be determined tomorrow at 3pm. Kenyans a are waiting to see what will happen going forward.
