For months now, Kakamega County Senator Honorable Boni Khalwale has been taking on the Kenya Kwanza administration. Despite being a key figure holding a Powerful position within the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Khalwale has maintained that the government lost track after joining hands with Raila Odinga and now they are making decisions that are not tenable.

In the Malava By-election, he is supporting Seth Panyako who is the opposition candidate. He refused to support Honorable Ndakwa who is the UDA Party candidate. Well, he has finally been warned and informed about his possible replacement.
Speaking in Malava on October 11, 2025. Mr. Farouk Kibet, the personal assistant to President William Ruto claimed rust that he has been observing how Khalwale has been conducting himself and it is not right. Therefore, his position at the Senate as the majority whip will be taken and given to Bungoma County Senator Wafula Wakoli.
I have been looking at how Khalwale has been behaving despite having our UDA Party resources. He has a motorcade assigned to him for being a chief whip. But now, he is only interested in fighting us. We will therefore take that position and give it to this man standing here. Wakoli is a good person who will champion development in the country. ” Said Farouk Kibet.
