Kenyan activist, Boniface Mwangi has been released by Tanzania authority after spending over three days in detention.
Mwangi was arrested at his Hotel in Tanzania where him and his team had gone to witness the court proceedings involving opposition chief Tundu Lisu.
A battery of Kenyan activists had arrived at the Julius Nyerere International Airport for the same case and were deported immediately before even making their way to the court. Politician Martha Karua was among high profile leaders from Kenya who were deported unceremoniously.
According to reports, Boniface Mwangi was allegedly dropped by his abductors in Kwale after being tortured in Tanzania. They allegedly asked him to thank Samia Suluhu as they tortured him severely.
