Tranzoia County governor George Natembeya has finally opened up after being given a cross unexpectedly during a burial ceremony in his county.
According to the video shared online, all was well until one musician picked a cross from the Coffin and danced with it vigorously. He then turned around and handed it over to Natembeya despite his security trying to block it.
According to him, the handing over of the cross to him was a sign of leadership extension. Unlike the predictions made by people on social media, that it simplified the burial of his political career. Natembeya has dismissed it and termed it a legacy continuity.

He has claimed that the cross from the deceased was to show that he should continue with the good work the late was doing before the untimely death.

Among the Luhya people, carrying the cross symbolizes trusted leadership. It is a sacred act that signifies responsibility, courage, and the readiness to serve.
When Governor Natembeya was handed the cross from the coffin, it represented a divine transfer, a call to continue the unfinished mission of the departed and to lead his people with integrity, sacrifice, and purpose.
Traditionally, this honor is reserved for a close family member, a trusted friend, or sometimes young and innocent boys and girls chosen for their purity of heart.
