Nyandarua County prayer session turned to a running battle between police officers and residents. A meeting which was Attended by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was expected to be peaceful and godly but hell broke loose.
A teargas was sent flying towards Gachagua. Those close to him were forced to run for their lives leaving the venue. The Police officers who were present had to act very fast to save the situation.

From the video shared online, police officers were forced to fire live bullets in the air in order to save a man who fired teargas at Gachagua. Angry residents had gathered and were buying for his blood. Were it not for police officers quick response, bloodshed was expected in Nyandarua.
Leaders allied to Gachagua have claimed that it was a police officer who fired teargas at Gachagua and he is stationed at Arthriver police station.
Kenyans online have asked Police officers to remain neutral and refrain from taking sides in the political matters and focus on protecting the country.
