For last few days in the country, JKIA-ADANI deal has been dominating headlines. Many leaders and Kenyans at large have been coming out to oppose the deal. They have been urging President William Ruto and his government to cancel that deal because they feel that it is ill fated. One of the leaders who have been leading the resisting camp is Ledama Olekina.
The Narok County Senator has been causing all sorts of reactions from Kenyans with his controversial remarks and today, he was back on it again as he dropped a strong morning message on the ADANI-JKIA saga. Through his official X account, Ledama Olekina made it clear that the country can not allow a security protected area to be handed over to a foreign entity.
According to Ledama Olekina, Kenyans should think in all directions. They should think on the dangers that may happen if Adani takes over JKIA. Dangers like overthrowing the government. Danger like smuggling human parts and drugs through the airport. Those dangers, Ledama feels that they can be controlled by resisting against the deal.
“Those defending the Adani Deal behaves as if they are going somewhere else! It’s like they will no longer live in Kenya. We cannot allow a security area to be handed over to a foreign entity! Suppose they decide to smuggle human parts or drugs using our airport Mtadoo? Or even help God forbid over through the government ? Don’t grow a big belly such that you can’t see your toes!” Said Ledama Olekina.
