President William Ruto was in Korogocho slums, Nairobi county where he met youths and addressed them on various issues.
His main agenda there was to launch the initiative that will focus on cleaning Nairobi River and make it environmental friendly. He promised to make it clean and even expand it so that Kenyans can enjoy fresh water going forward.
” We will expand this river after cleaning it. This river will have clean water which will serve Nairobi residents in different capacities. It will be green allover once we finish the project” promised Ruto.
After the meeting, he addressed youths who were charged and rowdy. From the video shared online, the Police officers attached to him were forced to act quickly and save him and other government officials.
The President who was waking was protected by officers who made a ring around him in a tense environment. Some are seen shoving youths away in attempt to bring order.
The youths who were ready to do anything to meet the head of State continued pushing forward towards the president. The move by youths forced officers to jump out of the vehicle to add another ring around the president.
The officers finally managed to control the masses and the head of State was allowed to address the youths without any further alternation.
