President William Ruto has gone through a tough moment in last toe months. No any other President of the republic of Kenya has ever witnessed the attack on Parliament.
Youths stormed the protected area forcing member of Parliament to run for their lives. Some legislators are still traumatized by the events that unfolded on June 25, 2024.
Several youths died on that day. Few days later, the president dissolved his cabinet and appointed opposition members as part of his team. The decision was maintain inclusivity and today on September 17, 2024. Ruto chaired his first cabinet meeting, one that he delivered good news to Kenyans.
According to a report from Statehouse. During cabinet Secretaries meeting. They agreed to return Linda Mama initiative that was first removed when he got to power. The initiative was beneficial to Kenyans that it’s removal caused a lot of discussion around the country.
The Linda Mama will now be expanded to include postnatal care that was not part of it before. This is a relief to the mothers from poor families who could not afford antenatal care. They will now enjoy the whole package even after delivery.

This was an initiative that helped students get free medical care while in schools. Millions of secondary school students enjoyed the package and its removal affected them much. The president has listened and they can now enjoy the medical services in peace.
