The term “shareholder” is one of the phrases that landed Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in trouble.

According to the charges leveled against him, he discriminated Kenyans by claiming some have more shares than the rest. He was termed tribalistic leader who should not hold the position of Deputy President of Kenya.

Well, a video has emerged of President William Ruto using the same phrase in Murang’a. In a video which is widely circulated online, Ruto told the residents that he appointed so many leaders from the region to his administration. Hence they have more shares in his government.

“I appointed people in my government from this area. They are so many hence I believe you have good shares in this administration. We need to work together for the betterment of our country going forward.” Said President William Ruto while on top of his car.

Those allied to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua are asking his lawyers to use the video in his defence team. They are asking the head of state to call his team in order and let Gachagua continue with his duties.
