Today on October 19, 2024. President William Ruto forwarded the name of Professor Kithure Kindiki as the new Deputy President nominee. He is supposed to be voted by the house and if approved, he will be taking over from Rigathi Gachagua who was toppled meters by the Senate.
The Senate voted to oust Gachagua in five charges out of 11 that were forwarded. Well, many expected Musalia Mudavadi to be offered the position of second in command. However, this is not the case and the orange Democratic party legislator has warned the western region on the issue.

A Saboti member of Parliament who was elected to the Orange Democratic party has warned Western region after Musalia was overlooked. According to him, the region will still lag behind in leadership ranks if they continue with the trend of to be given positions.
“Western leaders have continuously been lied to by other regions.
Ooh, you are third in command ,ooh, after ruto, it is musalia ,ooh !ooh! ooh,etc, and life moves on while they follow the tune.
Our senior leaders, no one will elect you or promote you or give you power simply because you are from the Mulembe nation.” Posted Caleb Hamisi.
“Learn to work hard and convince all kenyans across the board that you are able . I thought when you were no. 3 and no.2 become vacant ,you automatically deserve to go up ?” Added Hamisi.
