“Mulima Umeteleza” Tough Time For DP. Gachagwa In MT. Kenya As New Kingpin Is Declared

Mount Kenya region is now divided officially. For the last two years, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagwa has been calling for the unity. He has been moving from one county to another within central region with unity message.

The transition of leadership from Uhuru Kenyatta to Rigathi seems to have failed to happen the right way. Uhuru did not handover kingpin position to Gachagwa, something the second in command was praying for. Now, he has another headache to deal with after today’s pronunciation from Mount Kenya East.

Speaking at a hotel, leaders drawn from Mount Kenya East declared Interior Cabinet Secretary Kindiki their kingpin. According to them, he will be negotiating anything concerning the region with the president. They continued to claim that for years, the region has been neglected in terms of leadership.

” We as the region has decided to appoint our own kingpin. Mout Kenya East region has been isolated for long despite providing good votes in all elections. It is time for us to be heard and our man is Professor Kindiki. He is our kingpin from today” said one of Mps who attended the function.

Gachagwa Mount Kenya Fight.

The Deputy President of the republic of Kenya has never failed to show his love for Mount Kenya region. He has been on record asking the region to unite ahead of 2027 election so that they can have more bargaining power.

” our people should unite in this region. We need to be together for the greater good. If we must get good development, we must be a team and avoid infighting. We must go on a negotiating table united” said Gachagwa in a past event.

Kenyans Reaction On New Mount Kenya East Kingpin.

A section of Kenyans have asked leaders to focus on development of the country instead of succession politics. They have asked both Gachagwa and Ruto to work together and deliver services to Kenyans before 2027.
