Chief Justice Martha Koome has been under immense attack from senior Counsel Ahmednasir and Nelson Havi. They have been on record asking her to resign for allegedly failing to stop rampant corruption within the judiciary system.
Through their X accounts, they have posted numerous posts on how the judiciary is failing Kenyans. Ahmednasir coiled the name’ Juripesa’, implying how justice is bought and currently only available to the rich.
Well, although it is not clear if she has acted on the cries of Nelson Havi and Ahmednasir. Koome’s Latest Move has left Kenyans talking. She has transferred High Court judges from one station to another. A move that has been seen by a section of Kenyans as improvement of service delivery.
However, on the Nelson Havi side, he is asking Martha Koome to form an inquiry team that should investigate judges that are accused of taking bribes and denying Kenyans Justice.
“Instead of recommending to the President the formation of tribunals to consider the removal of Judges suspected of incompetence, gross misconduct and misbehavior, C J Martha Koome resorts to a game of musical chairs. Transferring corruption is not the solution.” Posted Nelson Havi.
