Chief Justice Martha Koome is under pressure from a section of Kenyans and advocates. Attorneys led by Senior Counsel Ahmednasir have been firing salvos at her, accusing her of incompetence and inability to handle serious matters at her docket.
At one point, Ahmednasir asked her to resign and leave the seat for someone else who is more competent. Nelson Havi also has been on record asking her to pull up the socks and serve justice to everyone without being compromised.
Well, today on November 15, 2024. Martha Koome has come out with a plea to Kenyans. In her statement, she has asked Kenyans not to attack the judiciary daily by calling it incompetent. Instead, they should nuture the institution that is at their service and a true reflection of the society.

“When you have a child, you nurture them. You don’t call them ugly or incompetent every day. Please support the Judiciary to be at its best” CJ Martha Koome.
A section of Kenyans have responded to her statement asking her to be more Focused on service delivery.
“Well there are children named N Havi (the bad one), R Ongala Sura Mbaya (the ugly one), M Shida (the troubled one) and Ibilisi (the devil). It is up to children to live up to their names or live out of their names. The society just names and will continue naming them, Madam CJ.” Posted Nelson Havi.
