Just In: ODM Party Announces New Party Leader, Raila Steps Down, His Next Move Revealed

Orange Democratic Party leader, Honerable Raila Odinga has announced his interim successor. He is stepping down from local politics and focus on African Union Candidature. He is planning to officially hit the ground running after being unveiled by President William Ruto at State House.

President William Ruto and his administration promised to support him fully in his bid to get the African top seat. His new home will be Ethiopia if he wins election.

The New ODM Leader.

Kisumu County Governor Professor Anyang’nyongo has takeover the leadership of the party in interim leavel. He will be in charge of running the party affairs until Odinga is officially elected AU Chairperson. That is when a permanent leader will be announced.

Change Of Guard.

Raila Odinga has been at the helm of Orange Democratic Party for over 16 years now. He has been vocal in opposition affairs running for president on the same Party in various elections.

The party which was formed in 2005 has managed to sustain itself for all those years. Some few new parties like Jubilee only managed ten years before it went underground. The break-up in Jubilee was so intense that two factions are still fighting for the leadership position.
