Constitutional lawyer and Wiper Party spokesperson Ndegwa Njiru has firmly rejected lingering political speculation surrounding a potential alliance between Wiper leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and President William Ruto.
The fiery lawyer pushed back directly against comments and media speculation suggesting that the former Vice President could entertain serving as a running mate to the current administration in upcoming electoral contests.
Njiru forcefully dismissed any discussion regarding such a partnership, framing the idea of Musyoka deputizing the President as an unthinkable political and moral contradiction.
Addressing recent public commentary and media debates featuring broadcast host Jeff Koinange and Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata, the spokesperson insisted that even entertaining or speculating on such a ticket misinterprets the strategic direction of the opposition movement.
He emphasized that any proposal attempting to pair the Wiper leader with the executive leadership must be rejected unconditionally.
Defending Musyoka’s record, Njiru highlighted the opposition leader’s decades-long stance as a consistent champion of human rights and a defender of vulnerable citizens.
He argued that Musyoka’s core principles and political identity stand in direct contrast to the administration’s governance approach, making any prospective union structurally impossible.
According to the Wiper spokesperson, the principles guiding the opposition prohibit alignment with leaders accused of presiding over economic hardship and repressive measures.
Njiru reaffirmed that the Wiper Party leader remains focused on contesting the presidency on his own platform rather than negotiating secondary placement within the existing government structure.
Dismissing compromise options outright, he declared that the political divide between the administration and the opposition can only be resolved through a direct matchup at the ballot box when voters make their final verdict.
