Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his allies were forced to run for their lives in Limuru, Kiambu County. According to the various videos shared online, Gachagua arrived with his team and was received by residents well.
They celebrated his presence and even demanded he address them before heading to the main tent for the VIP group.
Just few minutes after grand entry, a section of youths armed with crude weapons descended on mourners with kicks. Gachagua’s team escaped without injury.
So many people were injured during the encounter and vehicles belonging to Gachagua allied member of Parliament was stoned. Kenyans have taken to social media to react on the issue.
