KITUI, Kenya — The media fraternity and the residents of Ukambani are mourning the sudden passing of veteran journalist Kitavi Mutua. Mr. Mutua passed away on Friday, October 30, while undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital.
The long-serving Daily Nation correspondent died following complications from a venomous snake bite sustained at his home in Kitui South, Kitui County.
Reports indicate that the snake bite occurred approximately a week prior to his admission, after which his medical condition rapidly deteriorated, necessitating urgent specialized care. Read Full Article Here.
