Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua Impeachment Motion tabled in Parliament has started causing tension in the country. Mount Kenya leaders who appended their signatures on the motion are now taking a backseat going forward.
In Parliament, leaders asked for more security to protect them during this volatile session. Especially during their encounter with their constituents.
It seems like the ground has started to he hot for other leaders already who signed to remove Gachagua. One leader from Mount Kenya has been forced to issue a letter explaining why she signed the motion and her plan going forward.
Embu County Woman Representative Pamela Njoki Njeru has written a latter to his people explaining why she signed motion against Gachagua.
According to her, signing was not an indication of voting yes to ouster Rigathi. It was just a way of expressing a democratic way as per the constitution of Kenya. On voting, he has clarified she will come back to her people and ask the way forward when the right time comes.
