Details Reveal Raila’s Immediate Move After Nyong’o Was Named As His Successor In ODM

For very many years, Raila Odinga has been leading the ODM party. He has been extremely powerful to a point that one could think that he owns the party. The good thing is that Baba has always dedicated his time for the Orange party and thus, he has been making it stronger and stronger by time but as things seem to be, his time to retire has come.

That is because yesterday, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna announced that Kisumu County Senator Anyang’ Nyong’o will taking over the leadership of the party until atleast next February. That was after a meeting that was chaired by Raila Odinga himself.

According to reports, Baba was scheduled to leave the country after that meeting. It is said that the opposition leader who is expected to retire from ODM next month, was not only leaving the country to German alone but he was to be joined in that journey by President William Ruto.

In recent days, Raila-Ruto political relationship has been getting stronger and stronger and as things seem to be, the two are finally fully united years after they parted ways forcing Ruto to leave ODM party. It was not clear what the two are going to do in Germany but that comes amidst high temperatures in the country over the ADANI-JKIA saga.

For now, it is clear that Baba’s focus is on the AU chairmanship. Whether or not he will clinch the seat or it will be another election blow is not yet known for now but definitely, it will be known soon enough when the continent will elect their next leader.
