Former Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen who is now serving as Sports cabinet Secretary has angered a section of Kenyans.
While speaking to the member of Parliaments in a meeting which was on how to improve sports activities in the country. Murkomen made a proposal on what should be done to stadiums in the country in order to generate more revenue.

According to Kipchumba Murkomen, it will be very important to privatize stadia in the country for revenue actualization. He stated that the private sector will have more avenue on revenue collection then the public sector.
“CS for Sports Kipchumba Murkomen has suggested that Stadiums should be Privately owned to allow better Monetization and access Similar to the UK Model!” Read part of the report.
Well, his suggestion has not gone down well by some Kenyans. Those who reacted have reminded him how the brought Adani group in the country to takeover JKIA. Something that has elicited mixed reaction among Kenyans now. He has been asked to focus on improving sports and not give them to private developers.
