Since taking over as the first female Chief Justice in the country, Martha Koome has been going through ups and downs. She has been receiving praises and criticisms from different people and today, things even got worse for her and Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu after new names for the CJ and DCJ positions were proposed.
Through his official X account, Nelson Havi left Kenyans talking as he publicly proposed Professor Joel Ngugi to be the Chief Justice deputized by Julie Soweto. Havi went on to claim that Asenath Ongeri, George Odunga, Kathurima, Chacha Mwita and Judith Guserwa should be the Supreme Court Judges.
The former Law Society President asked Kenyans to give their own opinion on whether the proposal that he made was a viable proposal or not. He maintained that the Supreme Court under the leadership of CJ Martha Koome should be reconstituted and new faces take over.
