President of the republic of Kenya William Ruto might be silent on Gachagua Impeachment but things are not well.
Today, Kenyans from different parts of the country took part in giving views on what should happen on Rigathi Gachagua.
Speaker of national assembly Moses Wetangula directed public participation to take place before voting on the motion.
It seems like things are not turning out well for him in his own political stronghold according to the video shared online.
In the video shared by Nation Kenya on October 4, 2024, residents of Baringo County have rejected the impeachment motion.
They are asking the head of state to solve the issues he is having with Gachagua instead of removing him.
“We want to tell President William Ruto something, he is the one who brought Gachagua to us. If he is bad, he should leave with him too. We want transparency in this country and our focus should be service delivery and not this side shows.” Said one resident.
Gachagua Troubles.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is accused of being tribal. According to the motion tabled in Parliament, he is accused of defending only Mount Kenya region despite being the second in command.
He is also accused syphoning public resources. In this accusation, he is believed to have 5.2 billon shillings within two years in office. He will have to prove how he got the wealth quickly.
Public Participation.
Kenyans will have another opportunity to present their views on Gachagua Impeachment on October 5, 2024. This is after the court in Kirinyaga directed that the participation should start at constituency level.
