Embakasi Member of Parliament Babu Owino has joined other leaders in rejecting takeover of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by Adani. Taking to his official X account, he alleged the worst thing that will happen if the deal go through.
He claimed that jobs will be lost during this tough economic times. Something he is not ready to see happen to his people.

The discussion on taking over of JKIA has been intense among Kenyans, who are questioning why the government is silent.
In a previous presser, Musalia Mudavadi claimed the government is determined to do what is best for Kenyans. Insisting that the airport is not for sale as alleged by a section of Kenyans.
JKIA Officials Strike.
Today on Monday, September 2. Workers at Jomo Kenyatta International airport are protesting the takeover.
They’re claiming lose of jobs if Indian based entity Adani takes over management. They have vowed to continue protesting until their grievances are heard.
Government Position On Andani Takeover.
The government of Kenya is insisting that the deal is good and that all protocols will be followed keenly. Musalia Mudavadi claimed that the whole process will be made clear soon to the public and they will understand everything.
On job losses, he refuted such claims terming them as rumours that should be ignored.
Adani Proposal.
They are targeting to manage all airports in Kenya. They will renovate, build and manage the airport for thirty years. After that, they will hand it over to Kenya and retain 18 percent of it for life. Something that is being contested by Kenyans.
