The issue of increasing Presidential term and that of other elected leaders from five years to seven years has caused heated debate in Kenya. People are demanding that Nandi county senator Cherargei drop the bill and focus on other things of national importance.
Public Participation which was called the Senate on the said motion has experienced massive protests from Kenyans. People are asking for accountability and job creation, instead, government officials are focusing on how to add themselves for more years. Well, Ahmednasir has reacted to Ichungwa’h position on the motion.
Ichungwa’h through his X account distanced himself from the motion. He went ahead to say the motion will not see the light of the day as Kenyans are focused on other important things.
“That Cherargei legislative proposal on term
limits is DEAD on arrival, PERIOD.
He should save his own time, that of other Senators and tax payers money.@citizentvkenya” Wrote Ichungwa’h.
Well, Ahmednasir has asked why the United Democratic Party is not able to reprimand Cherargei on the motion.
“Hon, but why does the party, UDA entertain such GROSS MISCONDUCT? Such reckless conduct brings the party and its members into utter disrepute.”Wrote Ahmednasir.
