Sifuna Breaks Silence, Rallies Support for Kwale Event After Unrest at Nairobi Linda Mwananchi Gathering
Nairobi County Senator Honorable Edwin Sifuna has officially spoken out following dramatic scenes at the Linda Mwananchi Movement event in Nairobi, where Wiper Party leader Honorable Kalonzo Musyoka faced hostile reaction from attendees.
During the high-profile assembly held in Nairobi on Friday, October 30, video footage circulated showing portions of the crowd booing Kalonzo during his address. The continuous heckling and rising tension inside the venue ultimately forced the veteran politician to cut his speech short and exit the event prematurely.
Despite the uproar and subsequent political chatter surrounding the incident, Sifuna chose not to directly address the heckling on his official social media platforms. Taking a strategic pivot away from the drama, the Nairobi Senator redirected public focus toward the movement’s upcoming grassroots engagements.

Writing across his social media handles, Sifuna sidestepped the hostility experienced by Musyoka and instead extended an energetic invitation to all Kenyans to join the Linda Mwananchi movement for its next scheduled mega rally in Kwale County.
“The journey to safeguard the interests of ordinary citizens continues,” Sifuna communicated, urging supporters to turn up in large numbers on Saturday, October 31, 2026, as the outfit expands its political footprint to the Coast region.
The Linda Mwananchi Movement, which brings together several opposition figures and emerging political factions, aims to build momentum ahead of future electoral contests. The planned Kwale rally marks a critical phase in the movement’s national rollout as Sifuna and his allies seek to demonstrate grassroots unity despite recent friction among key figures.
