Senator Edwin Sifuna has been advised to take two key steps to defeat President William Ruto in 2027.
Sifuna is the Nairobi Senator and Linda Mwananchi leader, and he is organising his team ahead of the 2027 General Election.
He is also building alliances as the opposition seeks to challenge the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Sifuna, a former ODM secretary general, has since gained traction among urban and young voters.
Sifuna has also met foreign diplomats as his national profile rises.
Sifuna Holds Talks With Opposition Leaders
For months, Sifuna has held meetings with several opposition leaders across the country.
They include Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua.
These talks are meant to unite the opposition behind one strong candidate.
While he does that, lawyer Danstan Omari has offered him two pieces of advice.
According to Omari, Sifuna should first open an official office in Kilimani, Nairobi.
Kenyans would visit the office and discuss their problems with him in privacy.
Omari says the idea mirrors the Capitol Hill office once used by the late Raila Odinga.
He believes such a base would show voters that Sifuna is serious about leadership.
Such an office would give him a permanent place to receive visitors and plan.
Omari Wants Sifuna To Build A Strategic Home
Second, Omari wants Sifuna to set up a home similar to Wamunyoro in Nyeri.
Wamunyoro is the residence of Gachagua, where politicians and delegations regularly meet.
Omari says leaders and supporters would visit Sifuna there to discuss strategic partnerships.
Omari argues that a visible home base builds trust and signals commitment to the struggle.
In his view, both steps would convince Kenyans that Sifuna is ready to defeat Ruto.
Sifuna has said he would not reject a presidential bid if the public collectively backs it.
He has urged supporters not to make the movement only about him.
Omari, meanwhile, has announced his intention to run for the Nairobi Senatorial seat in 2027.
The advice comes as political activity intensifies across the country ahead of the polls.
It remains to be seen whether Sifuna will act on the advice.
Kenyans will be watching closely to see which moves Sifuna makes next in his campaign.
