Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is positioning himself as the best bet 
for the United Opposition ahead of the forthcoming general elections to be held 
in August next year.

The Democracy For Citizens Party Leader Hon Gachagua has sent a stern warning to
these leaders as he reveals what he is about to do.

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has issued a stern rebuke to elected leaders
in his home county of Nyeri, accusing local representatives of betraying their voters
and failing to safeguard the community’s economic and political interests on the
national stage.

Addressing supporters in his home region, the political veteran expressed profound
disappointment with the current crop of Nyeri politicians. He stated that their 
public conduct and recent political alignments have brought disgrace to the county.

The former second-in-command asserted that rather than defending local welfare amid
national economic strains, several local leaders have chosen personal self-preservation
over the trust bestowed upon them by the electorate. 

Declaring a fresh political campaign anchored in his home territory, Gachagua pledged
to launch a national liberation movement starting directly from Nyeri.

He stressed that restoring genuine accountability and economic freedom across the
country requires first rectifying leadership failures at the grass-roots level.

By consolidating support in his backyard, the former deputy president intends to
build a formidable political base capable of challenging state policies and pushing
for a unified opposition framework. 

The sharp criticism aimed at Nyeri legislators marks a significant escalation in
