### Video: Sifuna Celebrated in Rift Valley, Leaving Ruto-Allied Team Shocked

Edwin Sifuna in Rift Valley became a trending topic after a crowd in Lodwar cheered
when his name was mentioned during a public address by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.

The unexpected reaction has sparked political debate, with many linking it to growing
opposition activities ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has been among opposition leaders campaigning under
the Linda Mwananchi movement.

The team has been touring different parts of Kenya, urging voters to support their
push for political change before the next election.

The latest moment came in Lodwar Town, Turkana County, during a gathering addressed
by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.

During his speech, Nyoro asked the crowd whether they would welcome him back with
other opposition leaders on a future visit.

When Sifuna’s name was mentioned, residents responded with loud cheers, creating
one of the day’s most talked-about political moments.

The video has since circulated widely on social media, with supporters describing
it as a sign of shifting political dynamics.

Others argued the reception was significant because Turkana County is part of the
Rift Valley region, an area often associated with President William Ruto’s political
influence.

However, the clip captures applause for Sifuna’s name rather than serving as evidence
of a broader regional political shift.

Political observers say such moments can shape public conversations, especially
as leaders intensify grassroots engagements ahead of 2027.

Neither Sifuna nor President Ruto had issued an official response specifically addressing
the viral Lodwar clip at the time of publication.

With campaigns gradually gaining momentum, videos from public rallies are increasingly
becoming powerful tools in Kenya’s evolving political landscape, as parties seek
to test public sentiment across different regions before the 2027 contest.
