# Drama in Trans Nzoia as Governor Natembeya Blocked Mid-Speech After Attacking President Ruto

**TRANS NZOIA, KENYA** — Trans Nzoia County Governor George Natembeya found himself
at the center of political turmoil once again after he was abruptly cut off while
delivering a speech at a burial in Sango village, Kiminini constituency.

The solemn send-off for the late veteran diplomat Ambassador Burudi Nabwera degenerated
into chaos after Natembeya used the platform to launch a scathing attack against
President William Ruto.

In a video clip circulating widely across social media platforms, the governor was
seen directly accusing the Head of State of overstepping administrative boundaries.

Natembeya claimed it was improper for the President to visit Trans Nzoia to launch
or commission development projects that fall strictly under the jurisdiction of
the county government.

The political onslaught quickly turned the funeral atmosphere tense. Before Governor
Natembeya could finish his remarks, politician Kakai Bisau intervened, rising up
to demand that the governor halt his speech immediately.

The abrupt intervention triggered violent altercations and shouting matches among
attending mourners and local political factions. Sensing danger as the venue grew
increasingly hostile, Governor Natembeya walked away from the podium accompanied
by a contingent of protesting residents.

The incident has sparked intense debate online, with Kenyans divided over the breach
of funeral decorum versus the escalating political rivalry between the county chief
and the national administration. Natembeya’s unyielding stance continues to fuel
political friction in the region.
