# Video: Didmas Barasa Stays Until End of Bungoma Funeral After Jack Wamboka’s Warning in Front of Sifuna

A video from a funeral in Sipala, Bungoma County, captures a moment involving Kimilili
MP Didmas Barasa and Bumula MP Jack Wamboka, who reportedly cautioned Barasa against
leaving before the ceremony ended, with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna among those
present.

Barasa reportedly remained at the funeral until the proceedings concluded, following
Wamboka’s intervention. The incident drew attention because Barasa has previously
been associated with reports of leaving funeral gatherings shortly after delivering
his speech.

The burial was held for the daughter of a local Member of the County Assembly and
attracted several leaders associated with the Linda Mwananchi initiative.

### Wamboka’s Intervention

During the gathering, Wamboka reportedly warned Barasa against leaving early in
a way that could embarrass Sifuna in front of mourners and fellow leaders.

Barasa subsequently stayed at the venue until the ceremony ended, according to accounts
of the incident.

The precise details of the exchange have not been independently verified, and no
public response from Barasa regarding the reported warning has been established.

### Political Leaders Gather in Sipala

The funeral brought together several political figures, including Sifuna, Wamboka
and Barasa, alongside other members of the Linda Mwananchi initiative.

The reported exchange attracted attention because it involved the three leaders
at the same public gathering. However, the incident alone does not establish whether
there are wider disagreements among them.

As political activity continues ahead of the 2027 General Election, public appearances
by elected leaders remain a focus of public interest.

For now, the reported incident centres on Wamboka’s intervention and Barasa’s decision
to remain at the funeral until the proceedings concluded.
