Nairobi County Senator Edwin Sifuna has become more popular and strong as the country
prepares itself for the forthcoming general elections to be held in August next
year.

Senator Sifuna is giving President Dr William Samoei Arap Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza
Alliance Government sleepless nights as they strategize against his rising political
star.

The opposition landscape has received a major boost following an explicit declaration
of support from political strategist and former Azimio La Umoja chief agent Saitabao
Ole Kanchory.

Taking a decisive stance on the country’s shifting political trajectory, Kanchory
signaled a complete alignment with popular sentiment by endorsing Nairobi Senator
Edwin Sifuna.

Kanchory observed that public opinion had become unmistakably clear regarding the
preferred direction for opposition leadership.

Framed around the principle that the voice of the people reflects a higher mandate,
his declaration positions Sifuna as the central figure capable of driving the anti-
government movement forward.

Kanchory urged all opposition factions and voters to set aside internal divides
and rally firmly behind the Nairobi Senator.

The endorsement comes at a crucial period when opposition forces are attempting
to consolidate their strategy ahead of the 2027 general election.

Sifuna’s recent political moves, including his leadership within the Linda Mwananchi
movement and efforts to assemble a broad coalition, have elevated his national profile
beyond traditional party structures.

Kanchory’s call to action aims to turn that growing public goodwill into a unified
national front.

By urging full backing for Sifuna, Kanchory reinforces the growing momentum surrounding
the Senator’s political machinery.

The move highlights a concerted push among key opposition figures to build early
synergy, aggregate numerical support, and present a formidable, single candidate
to challenge the ruling administration in the upcoming electoral contest.
