Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has expressed firm confidence in President
William Ruto’s upcoming re-election campaign, asserting that the Head of State will
secure a decisive victory in the 2027 General Election.

Speaking during a series of political engagements, the Prime Cabinet Secretary argued
that the current opposition landscape lacks a viable, serious presidential candidate
capable of mounting a credible challenge against the sitting government.

Mudavadi emphasized that winning the presidency requires immense organizational
capability, broad political strategy, and sustained national presence—elements he
claimed the opposition currently lacks.

He dismissed the opposition’s recent political momentum as temporary, suggesting
that their strategies are built on unstable ground rather than solid policy alternatives.

According to the Prime Cabinet Secretary, competing against an active executive
machinery demands disciplined preparations rather than reliance on fleeting public
sentiment.

Focusing on the government’s internal unity, Mudavadi reiterated that his primary
focus remains fully behind delivering the administration’s development agenda and
ensuring a seamless re-election strategy.

He called on ruling coalition supporters across the country to maintain solidarity
and focus on institutional stability rather than being distracted by premature electoral
contests.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary’s comments come amid ongoing efforts by various opposition
factions to unite and present a formidable contender against the administration.

However, Mudavadi maintained that the absence of a unified, formidable opponent
guarantees the ruling coalition a smooth path back to power.

As political alignments take shape ahead of 2027, his statements underscore the
government’s determination to present an unassailable political front against any
emerging challenges.
