The drama between Judiciary commission and National Police service seems not to be ending any time soon. Chief Justice Martha Koome and acting inspector general of Police Gilbert Masengeli are reading from different scripts.
Today on September 18, 2024. President William Ruto asked those two independent institutions to act accordingly and work together for the benefit of the people.
Well, veteran lawyer Senior Counsel Khaminwa has issued a statement on the drama around Koome and Acting Inspector General of Police. According to him, if Masengeli is not Punished, it is going to lead to a bad behavior among Kenyans. Kenyans will start disobeying court orders knowing that nothing will happen to them.
” The acting inspector general of Police Gilbert Masengeli must be punished. If that is not done, we are going to witness something we’ve not seen before. Kenyans are going to ignore court orders from various regions. It will be a disaster” said Khaminwa.
