### Gachagua Speaks After Hosting Sifuna-Led Linda Mwananchi Team at Wamunyoro

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has broken his silence after hosting the
Linda Mwananchi team, led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, at his Wamunyoro residence
in Nyeri County.

The meeting took place shortly after Gachagua returned to Kenya from the United
States of America, drawing attention to the ongoing political consultations ahead
of the 2027 General Election.

In a statement following the meeting, Gachagua said he welcomed the Linda Mwananchi
leadership to his rural home, where they held discussions on the country’s political
future.

According to the former Deputy President, the talks focused on what he described
as the liberation of Kenya and the formation of the Sixth Administration.

“Upon my return from the United States, I welcomed the Linda Mwananchi leadership,
led by Senator Edwin Sifuna, to the Wamunyoro residence,” Gachagua stated.

He described the discussions as candid and constructive, suggesting that the meeting
provided an opportunity for the leaders to exchange views on the country’s direction.

Gachagua also highlighted the historical significance of his Wamunyoro residence,
describing it as a venue for important political consultations and deliberations
that have contributed to shaping Kenya’s future.

“Today was such a day,” he added, signalling the importance he attached to the engagement
with the delegation.

The meeting comes amid growing political activity as leaders position themselves
ahead of the 2027 presidential contest, with questions emerging over possible alliances
and the future of the country’s opposition politics.

Sifuna, who has been associated with the Linda Mwananchi political movement, has
continued to feature prominently in discussions surrounding political accountability
and leadership.

However, Gachagua’s statement did not provide specific details about any agreements
reached during the meeting or whether the discussions would lead to a formal political
arrangement.

The reference to the formation of the Sixth Administration has nevertheless raised
questions about the leaders’ broader political ambitions and the kind of leadership
they envision for Kenya.

The meeting at Wamunyoro is likely to attract further attention as political players
continue consultations that could influence the country’s political alignments ahead
of the next general election.
