Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been causing President Dr William Samoei
Arap Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza Alliance Government sleepless nights ever since his
impeachment.

But Hon Gachagua has been hit below the belt as this unexpected news is revealed
to Kenyans ahead of the forthcoming general elections to be held in August next 
year.

Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has launched a blistering verbal assault against former
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, urging political figures and the public to stop
engaging with post-impeachment political maneuvers. 

In a sharp statement, the vocal lawmaker criticized politicians who continue to 
align themselves with the ousted leader. Olekina argued that giving attention to
public appearances and grievances from the former second-in-command is a distraction
from national priorities.

Characterizing the former deputy president as a controversial figure now operating
without an official mandate, the senator called on the electorate and politicians
alike to resist falling for political drama designed to maintain relevance. 

Olekina emphasized that Kenya must immediately pivot away from past political spats
and administrative disputes.

He insisted that the national discourse ought to focus squarely on a genuine, broad-
based development agenda capable of addressing widespread economic challenges, supporting
public service delivery, and advancing inclusive growth across counties. 

According to the Narok senator, continued political fixation on impeached leaders
only serves to derail critical legislative work and economic recovery efforts.

He urged leaders across the political spectrum to drop factional squabbles and throw
their weight behind constructive policy frameworks that deliver tangible outcomes
for ordinary citizens. 

The senator’s aggressive stance highlights the widening political gulf following
the historic impeachment proceedings, as lawmakers inside the broad-based administration
increasingly press for a complete break from past leadership dynamics to clear the
way for national governance goals.
