National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula has suffered a massive political blow
in his home turf of Bungoma County ahead of the forthcoming general elections to
be held in August next year.

Hon Moses Wetangula is facing stiff competition from the newly launched Linda Mwananchi
Movement Party that is led by Nairobi County Senator Edwin Sifuna.

The dominance of his Ford Kenya party in Western Kenya continues to face serious
tremors following the high-profile defection of Matulo Ward Member of County Assembly(
MCA), Hon. Stephen Kaiser Simiyu.

The popular leader, best known to his constituents as Steve Sonko, has officially
cut ties with Ford Kenya. In a bold move that redefines the political landscape
of Webuye West and Bungoma County at large, Hon. Kaiser has formally crossed over
to the rapidly expanding Linda Mwananchi Movement Party.

The defection signals a significant shift in grassroots allegiance, directly raiding
Speaker Wetangula’s backyard. Hon. Kaiser was officially received into his new political
outfit amidst great celebration by party leaders and energized supporters.

The news has sparked widespread excitement among members of the Linda Mwananchi
Movement Party, who are celebrating the arrival of the energetic county lawmaker.

The party’s leadership expressed immense pride in securing such a key leader from
Bungoma County, noting that Steve Sonko brings proven grassroots mobilization skills,
dedicated leadership, and a passionate commitment to defender-of-the-people politics.

Karibu! Members and enthusiasts across the country are flocking to party platforms,
enthusiastically reacting to welcome him to the growing political outfit.

The arrival of Hon. Kaiser into the fold underlines the party’s steady expansion
into traditional strongholds as it builds momentum for future electoral contests.

The official statement from the party leadership confirmed the warm reception:
We
are officially welcoming Matulo Ward MCA, Hon. Stephen Kaiser Simiyu, popularly
known as Steve Sonko, to the Linda Mwananchi Movement Party following his defection
from Ford Kenya.
