Kikuyu member of Parliament Honorable Kimani Ichungwa’h is a man under immense pressure after impeaching Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. Ichungwa’h together with other leaders allied to President William Ruto pushed so hard to see Gachagua out of office.
In his remarks, after impeachment, he thanked senators for their votes to remove the embattled DP from the office. Well, according to the Video shared online, it seems like the removal of Gachagua from the office is going to be tough for him.
It seems like people of Kikuyu constituency are not happy with Ichungwa’h. According to the video shared online, women at the marketplace are seen singing and calling him a traitor for removing Gachagua. They are seen holding his picture blaming him for bringing disunity within Mount Kenya region.
This is an indication that all is not well in Mount Kenya region and he might face the rath of people come 2027. He might lose his seat and be sent to political oblivion.
It is not yet clear why Kiharu member of Parliament Nyoro avoided the issue of impeaching Gachagua completely. During voting time, he was nowhere to be seen sending a message that he might be playing safe to avoid future backlash.
