2027 Boost: Sifuna Gets Major Western Endorsement as Mudavadi, Wetang’ula Issued Stern Warning
NAIROBI, Kenya — Nairobi County Senator Honorable Edwin Sifuna’s ambitions of securing the presidency in the 2027 general election have received a major boost following strong endorsements from the Western region.
For decades, the Western Kenya voting block has predominantly remained under the political control of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and National Assembly Speaker Honorable Moses Masika Wetang’ula. However, the political landscape in the region appears to be shifting rapidly following Sifuna’s rise to the helm of national politics.
Speaking during a high-profile political gathering in Kabuchai, Bungoma County, Kabuchai Member of Parliament Honorable Majimbo Kalasinga issued a stern warning to Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetang’ula, and any other political stalwarts planning to challenge Sifuna’s presidential bid in 2027.

According to MP Kalasinga, the Western region has firmly rallied behind Sifuna, making it virtually impossible for any politician to command or control the vote-rich region without engaging the Nairobi Senator directly.
“Western region now belongs to Sifuna. Anyone attempting to dictate or control the votes in Western Kenya without working with him is in for a rude shock ahead of 2027,” Kalasinga stated, emphasizing Sifuna’s growing influence among youth and grassroots voters across the region.
The developments come amid heightened political realignments as young leaders seek to dismantle traditional regional fiefdoms. Sifuna’s momentum presents a direct challenge to the established political order in Western Kenya, signaling a potential tide shift as the country edges closer to the 2027 polls.
